Incredibly wide and beautiful 19th century French gilt Louis Philippe mirror in excellent condition.
It is from around 1850.
It has its gorgeous original real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame. Real gilt gives a shine and look that cannot be replicated by paint or creams. There are no chips or beads missing.
It has its wonderful original mercury glass with very heavy foxing at the base.
It is so unusual to find such a wide mirror of this height.
It would look amazing in a hall or as an overmantel.
