Incredible 19th century French Louis XV gilt mirror in superb condition.
It dates from around 1880.
It has its wonderful, original real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame in a subtle leaf design, a huge ornate shell and floral crest and large side scrolls. There are no chips to the frame at all.
It has its lovely heavy glass in fantastic condition with no scratches or foxing and all its original backboards.
It would make a stunning free standing leaner mirror in a lounge, hall or bedroom or overmantel in a beautiful room with high ceilings.
