Stunning antique French gilt Louis Philippe mirror.
It dates from around 1860.
It has its beautiful gilt frame (real gold leaf) in a subtle leaf design and lovely original mercury glass that gives a reflection like no other and is so hard to find these days. The glass has no scratches, just foxing in one place (see photo). I love this as it shows it is antique glass.
It also has its original pine backboards.
It would look beautiful as an overmantel mirror above a fireplace or just hanging alone on a wall.
