Gorgeous gilt Louis Philippe mirror from the early 1800s.
It has its beautiful real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame in fantastic condition with no chips, just its wonderful original gilt.
It has its original quite distressed mercury glass. Mercury glass was not made after 1840 and gives a sparkle like no other.
It is missing 2 of its original backboards, however this makes no difference to the appearance of the mirror once it is on the wall.
