Incredible 19th century French gilt mirror in superb condition.
It dates from around 1830.
It has a huge amount of ornate detail to its real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame including its enormous crest, floral sides and scrolls.
It has its original, heavy mercury glass with no scratches, just light foxing. Mercury glass is increasingly hard to come by and gives a wonderful sparkle and reflection like no other. It was not used after 1840.
It has all its original backboards.
It is so unusual to find a mirror of this size with such ornate detail in this condition.
