This Napoleon gilt mirror dates from the early 1800s.
It has a beautiful ornate real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame in perfect condition and gorgeous heavily foxed mercury glass. Mercury glass was not made after 1835 and gives a sparkle like no other. All the Versailles mirrors are made of mercury glass.
It has all its original backboards.
It would look beautiful on a wall or used as an overmantel.
