Large antique French gilt mirror that could be the perfect freestanding leaner mirror or overmantel.
It dates from around 1800 and is in superb condition.
It has its huge ornate real gilt on gesso shell and floral crest balanced with it’s simple, beautiful gilt frame. There are no chips.
It has its original mercury glass also in spectacular condition with no foxing just a wonderful sparkle in sunlight. Mercury glass was not made after 1840.
It has all its original backboards.
