Code: 10727
Dimensions:
19th century French gilt Louis Philippe mirror.
It dates from around 1850.
It has its gorgeous worn real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame with no chips or beads missing.
It has its absolutely lovely original mercury glass. Mercury glass is increasingly hard to find and gives a reflection and sparkle like no other! It has beautiful foxing in places (black marks gained through time) and no scratches.
It has all its original pine backboards.
It would have originally been used as an overmantel mirror above a fireplace so would look fantastic used for this purpose but would also work very well just hanging on a large wall or above a console table or as a freestanding leaner mirror.
