Dimensions:
Large 19th century French gilt leaner mirror.
It dates from the early1800s.
It has its beautiful worn real gilt (gold leaf) frame in excellent condition with a subtle etched floral design and a large shell Louis XV crest. The worn gilt gives a softer, more understated look to an all gilt mirror.
It has its gorgeous original mercury glass with some foxing. Mercury glass was not made after 1840 and gives a sparkle like no other.
It has its lovely original panelled back.
This would make the perfect leaner mirror in a hall or bedroom perhaps or a beautiful overmantle mirror above a fireplace in a high celinged room. This is where it would have originally hung.
