This is one of a pair of beautiful large mirrors from a stunning Southern French period house. It is the right hand mirror.
Both mirrors were overmantels, above a fireplace, in adjoining rooms, however they would look just as good as freestanding leaner mirrors as they are 2m tall.
They are in excellent condition and have their bare gesso frames with lovely ornate gesso detail throughout, including their crests.
They both have their original heavy glass. There is very light foxing to this one which I love as it immediately shows it's antique. There are no scratches.
They have all their original backboards.
The left hand one has sold.
