Stunning antique French overmantel mirror.
It dates from around 1860.
It has its absolutely beautiful real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame in a floral design with a huge ornate gesso shell and floral crest.
It has its gorgeous original mercury glass. Mercury glass is so hard to find these days and gives a sparkle and reflection like no other.
It would make a beautiful overmantel above a wide, marble fireplace or would look wonderful in a hall above a large console table.
