Beautiful large 19th century French painted mirror.
It has its original very heavy antique mercury mirror plate and ornate gesso frame in a floral design. Mercury glass is very rare.
It has its original pine backboards.
It has been painted in a chalk ‘antique’ white paint.
It would look fantastic as a leaner mirror, above a mantelpiece or hanging from a large wall.
It has a matching, slightly smaller wider mirror which would look wonderful displayed in the same room. Antique matching mirrors are incredibly hard to find.
