18th century French gilt mirror.
It dates from the late 1700s and has its gorgeous original real gilt (gold leaf) on gesso frame.
It has its original split mercury glass in excellent condition. Mercury glass was not made after 1840.
It has its original backboards and a wire ready to be hung.
Perfect as a dressing room, bedroom or hall mirror perhaps. It could also be hung landscape.
