Stunning French antique oak work bench with unusual zinc top.
It dates from the early 1900s and is incredibly solid and sturdy.
The bench has been stripped to reveal the pale grain of the oak.
It is believed to be from a jewellery workshop and the number 16 on its front face would have been the number of the work station.
It has a beautiful worn cross bar where the jewellery maker would have placed his/her feet.
The zinc top is in 2 pieces and in excellent condition,
It would make a great desk, console table or kitchen work unit in a modern or industrial setting.
